Electrostatic Painters in Rockland

Rockland, the urban heart of Clarence-Rockland, faces the Ottawa River roughly 35 km downstream of Parliament Hill. French and English are both everyday languages in town, which has a busy commercial stretch on Laurier Street, riverside parks, and plenty of recently built subdivisions filled by people who commute west on Highway 174. Along Laurier, you find small businesses with aluminium storefronts, steel canopy posts, metal handrails at entry steps and service doors facing parking lots. Low-rise apartment buildings in town add exterior steel stairs, railings and corridor doors, while newer homes come with steel entries, garage doors and metal deck railings.

River air and highway salt both work on exposed metal here, so storefront frames tend to pit at the bottom rail and stair stringers rust where water pools. We clean out those spots, treat them, and prime before applying colour. Shop owners usually cannot close for a day, so we work on one side of a door at a time and keep the entrance usable. For apartment stairs we stagger the work so residents always have a dry route out, and we post notices in the building beforehand.

Getting to Rockland

Rockland is a straight drive east along Highway 174, which becomes County Road 17, and we schedule visits there in blocks so more than one job can be handled in a trip.

Questions from Rockland

Can the storefront on our shop be refinished without closing for the day?
We do the frame in stages, starting early, so one leaf of the door stays usable at all times. Display windows are masked from the outside, and customers are guided around the work area.
The exterior steel stairs on our apartment building are rusting. Can they be painted in place?
Exterior stairs are a common job. We remove loose rust and scale, treat and prime bare steel, then coat the stringers, treads and railings. Residents are given another exit or we paint the stairs in halves so the building is never cut off.
Can a steel canopy or awning frame be painted while the fabric stays on?
Most of the time the fabric can stay. We cover the fabric or panel tightly and spray the frame from below, which the charged paint handles well because it reaches the back sides of tubes. If the fabric is due for replacement anyway, painting before it goes back on gives a cleaner result.
