Electrostatic Painters in Chelsea

Chelsea lies in the Gatineau Hills just north of Gatineau, in Quebec, a municipality of wooded lots, winding roads and the old village along Chemin d'Old Chelsea, with Gatineau Park to the west and the Gatineau River to the east. Homes range from older cottages to large modern houses set into hillsides, and the metal on them reflects that: steel and aluminum deck railings, exterior stair rails, metal roofing trim, garage doors, and gates at the bottom of long driveways. In the village, restaurants, shops and the community buildings add storefront frames, patio railings and steel doors.

Hillside homes in Chelsea tend to have a lot of outdoor railing on decks and stairs that face the forest, and those take moisture, tree sap and shade that slows drying. Clean, dry surfaces are the starting point, and some railings need sap and mildew removed before prep can begin. Steep and winding driveways also shape the plan: we ask about access, especially in shoulder seasons, and bring what we need in one trip. Patio railings at village restaurants are usually best done before or after the summer patio season so the work does not get in the way of guests.

Getting to Chelsea

Chelsea is a short drive across the river via the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge and Autoroute 5, and we confirm access on hilly or long driveways before booking.

Questions from Chelsea

Our deck railing is in the shade and gets mildew. Will new paint hold?
It will if the mildew is removed first. We wash the railing with a cleaner that kills the growth, let it dry fully and then prime and coat. Shaded railings dry more slowly, so we allow extra time between steps.
Can you coat a restaurant patio railing before the season opens?
Spring before the patio opens is a good window, as long as the weather is warm enough for the coating to cure. Fall, after the patio closes, works as well and leaves the railing fresh for next year.
Do you work on properties in Quebec as well as Ontario?
Chelsea, Gatineau and the rest of the Outaouais are part of the area we cover. The process and preparation are the same on either side of the river.
